- Promote understanding of tree science, sentience and how we can work with trees.
It is a pivotal time to make positive change in the world. With a growing revolution in land-use, the discussions around Brexit and the underlying global good will towards working to support our bio-systems we feel strongly motivated to do what can done.
Last year saw more trees lost through actions in cities, waterways, extensive fires and deforestation. The up and coming EU trade deals for beef with South America pose a direct threat to the capabilities of the Amazon’s hydrological cycles. Proposals for new ‘ecological principles’ for the UK post-brexit need to be well understood to gain real political traction. It’s time to discuss our reciprocal relationship with nature and the potential to bring sentience of forests into the national debate.
We will to continue to highlight the different practical methods for large-scale planting and network with each other about how to join those up.
The Tree Conference Network is now a partner of the International Tree Foundation and as such we can received charitable donations through their parent charity status.
We’ve ambitious strategies for contributing towards changing the current narratives and creating a future with clean water, well stocked forests, healthy soils and the resolution of the blocks to all working together to achieve this.
